The film crew arrives in a remote village in late August, and Miu's family of four women, known in the media as aspiring celebrities, are the centerpiece of a supposed TV production. Miu's mother, Sayoko, a famous fashion designer, arranged the job, thinking it would be a chance for the family to bond. The production is a ruse tied to a local festival, and the women are forced to serve as the festival's key figure, the Shishigami, one by one.
